540 positions open at LMM Airport; job fair continues today

By The Star Staff
Aerostar Puerto Rico President Jorge Hernández de León on Tuesday announced 540 job positions available at the Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport.
“Some positions have direct contact with the passenger, so for this job it is necessary to speak both languages [Spanish and English],” Hernández de León said in a written statement. “However, there are others that are in areas where there is no contact with travelers.”
To meet the demand for personnel, the company organized a job fair that started Tuesday and runs through today at which the airport operator will look to recruit for a wide variety of positions.
The event is taking place on the second level of Terminal D, near the airport hotel, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today.
The participating companies are: Aerostar Airport Holdings LLC, Perfect Integrated Solutions, Ranger American of Puerto Rico, Dufry Puerto Rico, Puerto Rico Management Group Investors Caribe (MGI), PrimeFlight Aviation Services, Prime Air Corp., Ground Motive Dependable (GMD), Services and Baggage Cooperative, Prime Janitorial, Spirit Airlines and El Market Puerto Rico.
Hernández de León noted that regular and contract positions are available, among which are: cashiers, warehouse, sales, cleaning and decoration and customer service employees, security officers, porters and supervisors, among others.
Those interested should bring their resumes and deliver them to the information tables of the contracting companies during the fair. The employer will indicate the positions that must be covered, the requirements of each position and other information that job seekers require. In addition, candidates will be interviewed on the spot.
