Aligned with the vision of offering excellent service and facilitating access to benefits, Wanda Ortega Álamo, Executive Director of the Automobile Accident Compensation Administration (ACAA), announced the launch of a new educational campaign that will impact drivers, passengers, cyclists, horseback riders, pedestrians, and motorcyclists across the island. Under the slogan “Throughout Puerto Rico, ACAA Secures Your Road!”, this initiative’s main objective is to inform citizens about the medical and hospital benefits offered by ACAA in the event of a traffic accident, as well as the process and service locations available for filing claims. ACAA, the only one of its kind in Puerto Rico, provides medical and hospital coverage with no deductible and offers compensation to people injured in traffic accidents, as well as to their dependents in the event of death, as long as the driver is not legally excluded. “More than an educational campaign, it’s a commitment to public service. We want every Puerto Rican to know that, in the most difficult times, ACAA is here to protect them. Our priority is the health, prevention, and well-being of all citizens who share our island’s public roads,” Ortega Álamo said. This multifaceted effort marks the beginning of a new phase of citizen outreach, which will highlight not only the breadth of services offered by the corporation, but also the importance of understanding the basic and specialized services, the steps to file a claim, legal exclusions, and the locations of the nine regional offices and one service office across the island. The campaign also seeks to promote road safety awareness, strengthen collective identity, and foster a sense of shared responsibility among the various stakeholders involved in traffic. Furthermore, in compliance with Puerto Rico Governor Jennifer González Colón’s public policy to promote efficient administration and the responsible use of public funds, this campaign has been designed and developed entirely by ACAA staff, using exclusively internal resources. “As a government institution, it is not only our responsibility to offer quality services.
