This Sunday, Feb. 26, the second “Pet Vaccination Fair” at the John 14:6 Worship and Restoration Center on highway PR-992 in Luquillo will be held, where well-known journalist Susan Soltero will participate.
“If you have a pet, this event is definitely for you,” said Carolina District Sen. Marissa “Marissita” Jiménez Santoni, who emphasized that “for all those people who have and love pets, we certainly consider them a very big and important part of our family.”
“The costs of the different vaccines will be very accessible to everyone’s pocketbook,” she added. “This activity, requested by thousands of people throughout the District of Carolina, is open to the general public.”
The vaccination event will be for dogs and cats.
“We will also be taking it to other municipalities in the District of Carolina,” Jiménez Santoni said. “People are asking!”
In the case of dogs, vaccines against rabies and “distemper,” infectious hepatitis, will be available as well as those for parvovirus, parainfluenza and leptospirosis, along with intestinal deworming.
Cats, meanwhile, will benefit from the vaccines against rabies and rinotraqueitis, panleukopenia, calicivirus and chlamydia, as well as intestinal deworming.
“Other services will be heartworm tests, bordetella vaccine, nail trimming and ear cleaning,” the senator said.
She invited people to call (787) 945-5328 to register.
“People need to arrive early,” Jiménez Santoni said. “We will start at 9 in the morning and finish at 3 in the afternoon.”
