Barceloneta celebrates its exemplary mothers and fathers

“Mothers and fathers are examples of pure love, dedication, and sacrifice.”

With this phrase, Barceloneta Mayor Wanda Soler Rosario described the work of mothers and fathers in their respective roles of contributing to the development of men and women of integrity, with high values ​​and a deep sense of solidarity. The mayor delivered her remarks as part of the 2025 Exemplary Mothers and Fathers Recognition held Tuesday in the town’s public square.

“The 2025 Exemplary Mothers and Fathers Recognition is a way to let them know that we value and appreciate them while remembering the important work they do for the benefit of the people,” Soler Rosario said. “Mothers and fathers are at the center of families, and their teachings make society more prosperous.”

During the event, some 30 women and men representing the town’s mothers and fathers were recognized. Each received a gift from the mayor, highlighting their inspiration and role models.

The event featured performances by El Trío los Condes, Salsa de Luva, and their tribute to Marc Anthony. The recognition also included a presentation by Robertito Soler. Each delighted the audience with the best of their respective musical repertoires, paying tribute to mothers and fathers.

“It is up to all of us to recognize the contributions of these two important figures in family units who contribute to achieving a more just and equitable society,” stressed Soler Rosario, who highlighted the contributions of both her mother and father to her personal and professional development. “Whose life stories and examples fill us with hope.”
