Agent Ramón Sanabria Baerga, assigned to the Guayama Maritime Surveillance Division, is in need of blood donors after suffering a serious traffic accident on Highway 713 in the Cimarrona neighborhood on Monday afternoon.
Sanabria Baerga, 47, a resident of Salinas, was driving a 2019 Ford F150 vehicle when he had a health problem, invaded the opposite lane and collided head-on with a heavy vehicle, a Kenworth Contract T-80, driven by Josean Colón, 33, of Cidra.
Sanabria Baerga suffered serious injuries and, after being stabilized at the Menonita Hospital in Guayama, was transferred to the Río Piedras Medical Center, where he remains in delicate condition.
Those who wish to donate blood can go to the Blood Bank of the Río Piedras Medical Center from Monday to Sunday, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information, call (787) 777-3844.
The Guayama Highway Patrol Division and prosecutor Michael Mir are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
