Body found in shopping cart in Caguas

The police found a person without vital signs in a shopping cart at around 7 a.m. Wednesday on Troche Avenue, in front of the Raúl Castellón residential complex in Caguas.

According to the police, the body is that of Ismael Meléndez Otero, a 58-year-old resident of Caguas.

The cause of death was unknown as of midday Wednesday, the police said.

Agents attached to the Homicide Division of the Caguas Criminal Investigation Corps, along with the prosecutor on duty, were investigating.
