Sen. Marissa “Marissita” Jiménez Santoni brought a Christmas party this week to her Senate District of Carolina, along with Santa Claus and The Grinch.
For example, the senator visited a number of Carolina communities where, in addition to good music, she distributed sweets and shared time with residents.
“Our main goal is to put smiles on people’s faces and bring them joy,” Jiménez Santoni said in the company of Rep. Wanda del Valle Correa and Luis Rodríguez, executive director of the Traffic Safety Commission, along with musicians and mimes. “Well, certainly the Christmas season is one of the most anticipated by children, and especially the children of Puerto Rico.”
She invited people in general to “make our heart the Bethlehem where the little child Jesus will be born.”
“Certainly, Christmas is much more than gifts, food and drink,” the senator said. “In short, it is the time in which we must keep in mind the family unit and friends.”
“We wish for you that this coming year, 2023, will be one of personal growth and one that sees all your goals met,” Jiménez Santoni said. “In the meantime, have a happy and blessed Christmas.”
