Correa’s appointment as emergency management chief extended

Nino Correa Filomeno’s extended interim appointment as head of the Bureau of Emergency Management and Disaster Administration (NMEAD by its Spanish acronym) was approved by the island Senate on Tuesday.
Senate President José Luis Dalmau Santiago brought the measure forward and without any debate, it was approved.
Resolution 454 authorizes Correa Filomeno to continue in his position until June 30, 2022.
Tuesday was the last day to approve appointments and measures during the ordinary session in the Legislative Assembly.
