State Elections Commission (SEC) Chairman Jorge Rivera Rueda announced Monday that, after completing the voter registry review process following the November general elections, the permanent registration boards will resume direct services to the public starting today.
“Having completed the voter registry update process, all Boards will resume offering regular services such as registration, reactivation, and changes to the voter registry,” Rivera Rueda said in a written statement.
The official noted that the services will be available at the permanent registration boards in 17 municipalities, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., in addition to access to the electronic voter registry at www.ceepur.org.
The permanent registration boards are located in San Juan, Bayamón, Arecibo, Aguadilla, Utuado, Mayagüez, Aibonito, Guayama, Caguas, Humacao, Ceiba, Ponce, Guánica, Yauco, Guayanilla, Villalba and Santa Isabel.
The resumption of regular operations at the boards comes after the SEC chairman visited each location to meet with the staff and assess the condition of the facilities.
