Police attached to the Property Division of the San Juan Criminal Investigation Corps (CIC) are investigating a robbery reported earlier this week at the Auto Shopping Center PR car dealership on Avenida 65 de Infantería in Río Piedras, where 11 vehicles were stolen.
According to the police, the plaintiff, Ángel Flores Vázquez, alleged on Monday that an unknown person broke the padlock at the main entrance to gain access to the dealership lot, from which they stole eight automobiles -- six SUVs, a van and a pickup truck -- and three all-terrain vehicles, or “four tracks.”
The cars were described as: a blue 2017 Hyundai Tucson, a gold 2011 Buick Enclave, a gray 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe, a gray 2016 Toyota Tacoma, a black 2011 GMC Yukon, a black 2012 Ford Explorer, a black 2012 Ford Transit and a white 2020 Hyundai Tucson.
The three “four tracks,” meanwhile, were all described as Yamaha Raptors: two from model year 2021, one gray and one blue, and one from model year 2020, blue.
Officer Roxana Parilla of the Monte Hatillo Precinct led a preliminary investigation of the complaint and referred the case to the San Juan CIC.
