Explosion at Jayuya substation leaves town without lights

An explosion at an electrical substation Tuesday morning left the entire central mountain town of Jayuya without service.

An explosion at an electrical substation in Jayuya at 5:39 a.m. Tuesday left the entire town without service.

According to the preliminary report, the fire was brought under control and no injuries were reported.

As of midday, the main entrance of Barrio Santa Clara in the central mountain town was closed for the safety of drivers.
