Police on Thursday reported a violent death and suicide on highway PR-693 near the Puma Costa de Oro gas station in Dorado.
According to the police report, after receiving an alert from a citizen about a lifeless body, agents arrived at the scene and found the body of Zuleyka Santiago Fuentes, 36, with a gunshot wound to the face. Next to her was the body of Benny Nieves Cabrera, 31, with a gunshot wound to the head.
Nieves Cabrera was reportedly found next to a gray 2011 Hyundai Genesis and his firearm, for which he had a license.
Agent Carlos Rivera Gerena and Sergeant Daniel Rivera Soto, along with prosecutor Laurence Snyder, are in charge of the investigation.
