Fifth victim of multiple slaying in Cidra dies

A fifth victim of a multiple homicide that was reported on Tuesday night in front of an establishment called La Lomita, located on Los Oliques Street in Cidra’s Certenejas neighborhood, died Thursday, the Puerto Rico Police Bureau announced.

According to the police, the fifth victim was identified as Bryan Alvarez Carrión, 24, a resident of Gurabo. He was wounded by gunfire. Meanwhile, another young man was wounded by a bullet in the incident. He has not been identified and his condition is unknown.

According to early reports, a call through the 9-1-1 Emergency System alerted authorities to shots fired at the scene. Upon arrival, the units found four men on the ground who had been shot to death.

The deceased were identified as Jonathan Ortiz Castrodad, 27, of Cidra, José Delgado Ríos, 24, Sebastián Figueroa Camacho, 28, and Andrés Manuel Bonilla Rivera, 38.

Officers from the Homicide Division of the Criminal Investigation Corps (CIC) of Caguas, along with the prosecutor on duty, are continuing to investigate.
