History is to be written in Humacao this weekend with the official swearing-in of Rosamar Trujillo Plumey as the first female mayor of the eastern municipality.
The event will take place Sunday at 5 p.m. at the Marcelo Trujillo Panisse Coliseum.
Trujillo Plumey, daughter of the late Mayor Marcelo Trujillo Panisse, who led the municipality for more than two decades, said she will continue her father’s legacy by assuming the reins of the municipal government with a firm commitment to social transformation, economic development and community well-being.
