Governor: Feds will investigate inauguration death threat

By The Star Staff

Gov. Jenniffer González Colón said late last week that federal authorities will investigate an alleged threat made against her by Adriana Nicole “Audri Nix” Vázquez Pérez on Inauguration Day.

“Here nobody is going to be above the law. Evidently there was a disruption of the peace here yesterday [Thursday]. I can understand that people protest because protesting is something that they have a right to. Thank God as American citizens we have that right of free expression, but free expression does not give you a right to interrupt or disrupt the peace of another,” the governor said. “So I do know and I have the information that both federal and state authorities will be managing the case, or the process goes on, but the people know that there are consequences. No one can be there threatening death, whoever they are, even though politically they don’t like it. Here you have to respect the law, the right to assembly, freedom of expression, but no right is above the rest.”
