Governor in DC for more talks on status bill, Medicaid & Medicare expansion

Gov. Pedro Pierluisi Urrutia traveled to Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, where he will continue to engage in talks in Congress over the Puerto Rico Status Act (House Resolution 8393), and expansion of the Medicaid and Medicare programs on the island, according to the governor’s office.
Pierluisi returns Friday. Until then, Secretary of State Omar Marrero Díaz will serve as acting governor.
