Governor in Washington for high-level meetings

Gov. Pedro Pierluisi Urrutia left Puerto Rico on Tuesday morning for Washington, D.C., where he will meet with various high government officials.
According to the press office at La Fortaleza, Pierluisi will meet with Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, and with Deputy Secretary of the Interior Tommy Beaudreau.
He will also meet with Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm, Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Michael S. Reagan, and Housing and Urban Development Secretary Marcia Fudge.
The governor will return to the island on Thursday, until which time Justice Secretary Domingo Emanuelli will serve as acting governor.
