The SaludArte Health Fair, aimed at the cultural, creative and artistic sector of Puerto Rico, will take place Saturday as an innovative event designed to promote and foster all-around wellness among the members of those communities.

The event, organized by the Center for Creative Economy (CEC by its initials in Spanish), arises from the urgent need to address the unique challenges faced by creative individuals, who often must deal with high levels of stress, intense emotional demands and irregular schedules. The Health Fair seeks to offer an inclusive and accessible space where artists, designers, musicians, writers, and other creative professionals can access relevant information, resources and activities specifically designed to address their particular needs.

“For the Center for Creative Economy it is a privilege to create this Health Fair for the artistic class, as an effort aimed at building a healthier and more sustainable environment for those who enrich our lives with their talent and creativity,” said CEC Director Dr. Siri Rolón Rivera. “We are committed to supporting these professionals by providing them with the necessary resources to take care of their health and well-being, thus allowing them to continue their invaluable contribution to our culture and society.”

The Health Fair will be held at the San Juan Natatorium starting at 11 a.m., and is open to all members of Puerto Rico’s cultural, creative and artistic sector at no cost (there is a $2 fee for parking). There will be yoga sessions, sound healing, and workshops with clinical psychologist Dr. María del C. Monrouzeau. The event will close with a plena workshop by Los Pleneros de la Cresta.
