“Mission accomplished.”
In a short message posted on her social media platforms, now ex-governor Wanda Vázquez Garced said goodbye.
She also changed her description on her Twitter account: “First Constitutional Governor of Puerto Rico 2019-2020.”
“Thanks to my dear Puerto Rico. In unprecedented times I gave myself and served with all my heart. Mission accomplished. Now it is our turn together to help @GovPierluisi to continue the fight to achieve well-being, progress and the best for our beloved island,” Vázquez posted alongside a photo of herself in La Fortaleza.
On Saturday, Vázquez also posted a message right after Pierluisi’s public swearing-in ceremony.
“Best wishes for health and blessings to everyone in Puerto Rico,” she tweeted. “Success to Governor Pedro Pierluisi and may God guide his steps. I thank everyone who worked alongside me for PR and designer Marcos Carrazana for my dress.”
