Labor Reform changes will be focus of DTRH’s first virtual orientation

By The Star Staff

Labor and Human Resources (DTRH by its Spanish initials) Secretary Gabriel Maldonado González announced Monday the launch of the “Let’s Talk About Work” initiative to orient the public about labor laws and labor protection legislation through the agency’s social networks.

The project is aimed at guiding citizens on issues related to labor law and labor protection legislation, recruitment initiatives, retention and training, labor market updates, and other services offered by the DTRH.

“The informational capsules “Hablemos de Trabajo” arise from the need to continue promoting educational spaces so that employees, employers and the general public know what is happening in the workplace,” Maldonado González said in a written statement. “It is a tool for talking face to face about issues that concern our working class. In this first phase, we will prioritize what is related to the draft amendments to the Labor Reform that was recently converted into Law 41-2022.”

The first edition of “Let’s Talk About Work” will take place this Thursday at 10 a.m. through the DTRH’s Facebook Live. The virtual talk, entitled “The ABCs of the Amendments to Labor Reform,” will be moderated by the Labor secretary.
