Lane on section of PR-52 southbound to close for bridge repairs this week

By The Star Staff
The Highways and Transportation Authority (HTA) on Sunday announced rehabilitation work on the bridge on the Luis A. Ferré highway (PR-52) between kilometers 47.6 to 50 in the direction of Cayey to Salinas.
The work will entail the closure of the right lane at kilometer 47.7 for southbound traffic.
The work will take place from Tuesday at 7 a.m. to Friday at 4 p.m. The left lane will remain available for the duration of the work.
Exit 39 Cayey will remain open along PR-1 toward Salinas, until kilometer 81.1 where it joins PR-52.
Traffic congestion is anticipated in the area, so drivers are encouraged to use the WAZE app, at their convenience, to reduce delays in travel times.
Drivers should slow down, be aware of signs and other traffic control devices that will be installed in the area for their safety and the safety of workers.
