LUMA: Electricity service restored in Caguas
By The Star Staff
LUMA Energy said Thursday that electrical service had been restored to Caguas residents affected by the failure of several substations.
“Service has been restored in the ten Caguas substations,” LUMA Energy said on social media.
During the morning, 10 substations were out of operation.
“LUMA crews are working to restore service to all customers as soon as possible,” the company in charge of energy transmission and distribution said. “As we have updated information, we will share it with you.”
The outage came amid several spot outages throughout the island requiring the attention of LUMA repair crews.
Over the weekend, residents of the Highland Park area in San Juan went 24 hours without power.
