The Puerto Rico Police Bureau (PRPB) reported on Monday that it is investigating a violent death that occurred at 12:57 p.m. at the intersection of the Ponce bypass (highway PR-2) and Eduardo Ruberté Avenue in the Pámpanos sector of Ponce.
According to authorities, a call was received through the 9-1-1 Emergency System about shots fired in the area. Upon arriving at the scene, agents from the PRPB’s Ponce Homicide Division found a man wounded by a gunshot inside a bus.
The man, whose identity had not been confirmed as of press time, died at the scene due to his injuries. The crime scene was cordoned off for the relevant investigations.
As detailed in the police report, specialized agents from the Homicide Division, along with the prosecutor on duty, are carrying out the investigation to clarify the facts and determine the circumstances of the slaying.
