In a gesture of gratitude for the hard work and commitment of more than 700 municipal employees, Manatí Mayor José Sánchez González announced the delivery of a Christmas bonus of $1,000 for each worker ahead of Thanksgiving Day.

The mayor stressed that the gesture is possible thanks to strategic adjustments in the budget, which resulted in significant savings and a surplus. In recognition of the sustained efforts of municipal employees, the mayor decided to increase the amount of the bonus as a token of appreciation for their dedication.

“I am honored and grateful to have a staff of fellow employees committed to providing the best services for our town of Manatí,” the mayor said. “The tireless work of keeping our town orderly, clean and prosperous deserves to be rewarded, so we have decided to increase the entire Christmas bonus to $1,000.”

Sánchez González also urged municipal employees to make good use of the bonus, and suggested putting it in savings as a valuable option.

This gesture highlights the municipal government’s commitment to the well-being of its employees and underscores the importance of recognizing dedicated work that contributes to the progress and prosperity of the community, the mayor said.
