Eliezer Molina Pérez was certified Wednesday as at-large senator-elect by the State Elections Commission.
“This is history,” Molina Pérez said on his YouTube channel. “We’ve been certified as senator at-large. We have been certified as senator-elect.”
Molina Pérez obtained more than 71,000 write-in votes, which earned him a seat in the upper chamber. He was to be sworn in on Wednesday.
