Much of Puerto Rico under atypical dry or moderate drought conditions

According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, 38% of Puerto Rico is under atypical dry conditions.
Likewise, almost 25% of the island is now in moderate drought conditions (D1).
Earlier this week Puerto Rico Aqueduct and Sewer Authority (PRASA) Executive President Doriel Pagán Crespo called for the moderation of water consumption due to low rainfall projected for Puerto Rico, as reported by the STAR.
