NPP general assembly slated for March 20 in Manatí

The New Progressive Party (NPP) directorate approved on Saturday the holding of the party’s general assembly on March 20 at the Juan Aubin Cruz Coliseum in Manatí, announced the president of the party, Gov. Pedro Pierluisi Urrutia.
“I know from the enthusiasm we experienced at the state board in November that it will be a complete success,” Pierluisi said. “We will be endorsing the amendments to the regulations, which is the tool that will govern the work of the party. We are focused on strengthening the electoral and political structure.”
As part of the work in the directorate, reports were received from auxiliary organizations for women, youth, public servants and electoral officials. In addition, priorities were established and strategies were outlined for the reorganization of the community.
NPP Secretary General Carmelo Ríos Santiago, stated that “we will continue to work as hard as we have up to now for our ideal.”
“There is much to do and we are not going to waste time,” he said. “The body is committed to continuing to strengthen the structure of our party. We are putting all our attention into training in the structures in the 41 municipalities that we will recover in the next elections.”
