Pierluisi announces date he will file for reelection

Gov. Pedro Pierluisi Urrutia announced on Tuesday that he will file his candidacy for re-election on Oct. 1.

The process will take place at 10 a.m. at Pedro Rosselló Convention Center in Miramar.

A potential rival of Pierluisi, Resident Commissioner Jenniffer González Colón, has said she will announce in October or November whether she will run for reelection or vie for the governorship.

Both belong to the New Progressive Party, of which Pierluisi is president.
