Police: Body found inside bag was homicide victim

A person found dead inside a bag in San Juan on Saturday was murdered, the police said Sunday.
The body was found at the end of Vinyater Street, between the Almendros Plaza 2 building and Berwind High School.
A call to the 9-1-1 Emergency System alerted the police to the body.
Agents who arrived at the scene found the body of a man inside a black plastic bag. Signs of violence, such as open wounds and bruises, were apparent on different parts of the body.
The deceased, who had not been identified as of press time on Sunday, was described as being between 25 and 30 years old, fair complexion, dyed blonde hair, brown eyes, weighing approximately 150 pounds and 5 feet 6 inches tall.
Identifying marks include a tattoo on the victim’s right leg of flowers with the names of Carmen, Sofía and Areana.
He was wearing a blue and white striped polo shirt, long sweat pants and green, black and white Jordan sneakers.
Staff from the San Juan Criminal Investigations Corps, along with prosecutor Betzaida Quiñones, took charge of the investigation.
