Police suspend Pink Alert following appearance of woman

Diana Michelle Villanueva Bonilla

By The Star Staff

Police Commissioner Antonio López Figueroa deactivated the Pink Alert on Tuesday after the safe and sound appearance at the Toa Alta Barracks of Diana Michelle Villanueva Bonilla, 25, who had been reported missing or kidnapped in the Dorado area.

López Figueroa thanked citizens for their cooperation in finding the whereabouts of Villanueva Bonilla, who had last been seen on Jan. 19 leaving her home in the Guarido sector of Dorado’s Espinosa neighborhood.

Her family had reported her disappearance to the authorities on Monday, and agents immediately began the investigation and search.

Not a substitute for the investigation already initiated by the police, the Pink Alert is just one additional tool in the search for a woman to identify any additional information that may support the work initiated by the police.
