With the proximity and solemnity of Holy Week in Puerto Rico in mind, San Germán Mayor Virgilio Olivera Olivera is extending an invitation to visit the town and tour the Religious Trail 2025 free of charge.

“Certainly, our beloved San Germán is rich in history and architecture,” the mayor stated in a press release issued over the weekend, emphasizing that the tour guides people along a comprehensive and impressive experience of faith.

“Holy Week undoubtedly invites reflection and family unity, the mayor said. “Throughout the tour, you can experience something that combines San Germán spirituality, history and culture.”

San Germán, according to historians, is the second town to be founded in Puerto Rico.

The extensive tours, to be held on Thursday, April 10; Friday, April 11; and Tuesday, April 15 from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. each day, include the historic Porta Coeli Convent; the Passion of Christ Walk, a visual and reflective experience; the San Germán de Auxerre Church; and the Alfredo Ramírez de Arellano Art Museum and Study Center.

“The initiative not only seeks to highlight the spiritual and heritage roots, but also aims to provide a moment of peace, learning and personal connection in a setting steeped in history,” according to the press release.
