The municipal government of San Germán is finalizing preparations for the second inauguration of Mayor Virgilio Olivera Olivera, which will be held on the evening of Thursday, Jan. 16 at the Convento de Porta Coeli on the Plazuela Santo Domingo.
Participating in the event, which will begin with a cocktail hour among special guests and family members of the mayor, will be U.S. District Judge for the District of Puerto Rico María Antongiorgi Jordán, a native of San German who will be in charge of swearing in the mayor in the presence of, as a special guest, ex-president of the U.S. District Court for Puerto Rico and current federal judge Aida Delgado Colón.
The inauguration will officially begin at 6 p.m.
“Our inauguration will mark a new history, at the beginning of our mandate and our unbreakable commitment to make the municipality shine before the eyes of the entire world,” said Olivera, who is one of the youngest mayors in Puerto Rico.
