San Germán to celebrate Childhood Day

By The Star Staff
For the second consecutive year and with the presence of clowns, children’s characters and various “superheroes,” San Germán Mayor Virgilio Olivera Olivera on Tuesday invited the public to participate in “Sangermeña Childhood Day.”
The event, which will take place Saturday starting at 10 a.m. in Plaza Santo Domingo, will have surprises for those present.
“This Saturday … we will be giving gifts and sweets to the first children to arrive at Plaza Santo Domingo, where, in addition, we will have different stations with important information that will be related to the services we offer in the municipality,” the mayor said, adding that “we will have 2,000 gifts and the presence of several ‘superheroes,’ among many other attractions.”
“Keeping in mind the proximity of Holy Week, our City of San Germán will pay, once again, a well deserved tribute to all Sangermeña childhood,” Olivera emphasized. “Because, for our municipal administration, children represent one of the most important pillars of the present governing framework and, above all things, the future of Puerto Rico.”
