Southbound truck overturns on PR-52, closing both lanes

One minor injury was reported in the Monday morning incident, which occurred on the PR-52 expressway near the El Jíbaro monument.

The Puerto Rico Police Bureau reported Monday that an overturned truck on the PR-52 expressway, kilometer 50.1, in the direction of Cayey to Salinas, near the El Jíbaro monument, caused the closure of both lanes.

The incident was reported at 9 a.m. and one minor injury was reported.

Emergency management personnel and agents assigned to the Salinas highway district of the Police Bureau were on site attending to the situation.

Drivers were urged to take alternate routes, such as highway PR-1, from Cayey to Salinas.
