The 2026 Women’s Premier Softball League (LPSF by its initials in Spanish) regular season concluded with three new all-time records, set by Yahelis Muñoz, Karla Claudio and Yeraldine Carrión during the final weekend of play.
Muñoz, catcher for the Leonas of Ponce, set a record by hitting her 19th career home run in Sunday’s game against the Valencianas of Juncos, becoming the all-time home run leader in the LPSF.
With that hit, Muñoz surpassed the record of 18 home runs she shared with Ninostka Amaro.
Another league milestone was reached by Karla Claudio, owner and player for the Bravas of Cidra, who earned her 100th career walk in Saturday’s first game against the Costaneras of Guánica.
Claudio became the first player in league history to reach 100 walks. In the second game, she drew another walk, bringing her career total to 101.
From the pitching staff, Mexican import Carrión, of the Caribeñas of Salinas, also made her mark, becoming the first pitcher to record 100 strikeouts in a single LPSF season.
Carrión reached the milestone by striking out Kennedy Byrd in the first inning of Saturday’s second game against the Leonas of Ponce. The star pitcher added five more strikeouts to finish the regular season with a total of 105, setting a new single-season record.
