Amundsen joins McGee in return to Juana Díaz in BSNF
All-Star import forward led Monarcas’ offense last season

The Monarcas of Juana Díaz of the Women’s Superior National Basketball (BSNF by its initials in Spanish) league officially announced the return of import player Tess Amundsen, who joins Imani McGee on the roster in the upcoming season.
Amundsen, a native of Fresno, California, was one of the most impactful figures for Juana Díaz during the previous campaign. The 6-foot-1 forward’s scoring ability and leadership made her a key part of the Monarcas as she averaged 19 points per game to lead the team. Her performance also earned her a selection to the BSNF All-Star Game.
Amundsen’s return brings continuity to the roster and allows the team to once again count on a player who knows the competition and has already shared the court with some of the organization’s talent. Her presence again on the roster, alongside the Los Angeles-born McGee, a 6-7 center, represents a significant step in the Monarcas’ preparations for the start of the season.
With both import players confirmed, the team continues to shape the squad that will defend Juana Díaz’s colors. The combination of import players and local talent will be central to a season in which the Monarcas aim to strengthen their presence in professional women’s basketball and continue connecting with the Juana Díaz fanbase.
The Monarcas open their season on Sunday, Sept. 20 at María Dolores “Toyita” Martínez Coliseum in Juana Díaz.
The organization is expected to announce the team’s third import player in the coming days.
