The Cangrejeras of Santurce announced today the signing of Jazmyn Jackson as their first reinforcement for the 2026 season of the Women’s Superior Softball League, which begins in May.
Jackson, 30, is a standout utility player with a remarkable career, including gold medals at the 2017 Pan American Games and the 2016 Softball World Championship, both with the U.S. team.
In 2025, she achieved the Triple Crown with the Diablos Rojos of the Mexican Women’s Softball League, boasting an impressive .519 batting average with 10 home runs and 32 RBIs. The native of San Jose, California also won the Most Valuable Player award for the final series, posting an .809 batting average with four home runs and seven RBIs.
Jackson is currently batting .353 with nine home runs, 29 runs scored, 18 RBIs and two stolen bases with the Mexican team.
The Cangrejeras will open their season on Thursday, May 21, when they host the Valencianas de Juncos at Tato Joglar Park in San Juan’s Villa Nevárez Urbanization.
