On Nov. 15 and 16, José “Buga” Abreu Coliseum in Isabela will become the epicenter of pop culture in the Caribbean with the staging of the Caribbean GamiC Expo – Level 3, organized by Héctor Trujillo.

The event, which has established itself as the most anticipated convention in Puerto Rico for fans of anime, cosplay, video games, comics and collectibles, continues to promote the island’s western region as an attractive destination for large conventions and world-class experiences.

In recent years, global interest in anime, competitive cosplay, video games and geek culture has grown exponentially, with millions of followers in cities such as Tokyo, Los Angeles, Mexico City and São Paulo. Puerto Rico is not far behind, and thanks to initiatives like the Caribbean GamiC Expo, it has managed to establish itself on the map of destinations that attract both fans and international visitors.

“We want every fan to have an unforgettable experience,” Trujillo and event director Darwin Cortés said in a written statement. “GamiC is a space for the community, and this Level 3 will be the most exciting edition we’ve held in Puerto Rico so far.”

The convention will feature a varied entertainment program including video game tournaments and collectible card competitions, cosplay contests with special awards, exhibitions and booths featuring guest artists, local merchants, and interactive areas such as the Hot Wheels track and retro gaming.

There will also be special guests from international geek and pop culture, in addition to the long-awaited benefits of VIP Passes (available along with tickets at www.pietix.com), which offer exclusive experiences, collectible gifts and preferential access to the event.

The expo has become a cultural project that reflects how the passion for gaming and comics can transform Puerto Rico into a regional hub for the industry. Born on the island, the convention grows with each edition, or “Level,” and is projected as one of the main pop culture platforms in the Caribbean, with a modern and authentic Caribbean style.
