Cidra supplies municipal workers with new uniforms & boots

The investment included $14,767.36 for boots and $9,265.95 for uniforms and reflective vests, for a total cost of $24,033.31 from municipal funds.

The Cidra municipal government this week delivered new uniforms to employees of the eastern-central mountain town’s operations component, which includes general services, environmental control, recycling, beautification, recreation and sports, planning, community affairs and other municipal departments.

“This is the first uniform distribution by this administration, and it addresses a need expressed by our employees,” Mayor Delvis J. Pagán Clavijo said. “We want them to have the appropriate clothing to perform their duties safely and efficiently. Therefore, we’ve included shirts, reflective vests for outdoor work and work in low-light areas, jackets, and vouchers for boots designed for the types of tasks they perform. In Cidra, we continue working to provide our employees with the best equipment and working conditions, because that translates into better performance and higher-quality services for our people.”

The investment included $14,767.36 for boots and $9,265.95 for uniforms and reflective vests, for a total cost of $24,033.31 from municipal funds. The equipment was distributed to some 150 municipal employees who are part of the operational team.

“Our commitment is comprehensive,” the mayor added. “While we strengthen the working conditions of our staff, we are also developing several projects that will improve the service experience and the municipality’s responsiveness. Every investment we make aims to ensure that citizens receive faster, safer, and more efficient services, and that our employees have the necessary tools to fulfill that mission.”
