The Olímpicos of Comerío, Tigres of Aguas Buenas, Bucaneros of Arroyo and Caciques of Orocovis swept their respective doubleheaders, while the Atléticos of Barranquitas, Guapos of Dorado, Halcones of Gurabo and Jueyeros of Maunabo all earned victories on Sunday in COLICEBA play.

In the Central Section, the Olímpicos posted a pair of dramatic victories over the Sabaneros of Cidra, 2-1 and 8-7. The first game went into extra innings. Juan Marcano delivered a dominant relief performance, pitching five hitless and scoreless innings to earn the win. In the eighth inning, Nomar Díaz capitalized on an error by third baseman Misael Ramos -- following a hit by Eliel Figueroa -- to score the winning run for Comerío.

Comerío’s second victory came in even more spectacular fashion. The Olímpicos scored six runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to complete an 8-7 comeback victory. A double by Eliel Figueroa drove in José Ortiz with the winning run.

Also in the Central Section, the Tigres won a pair against the Jardineros of Aibonito, 5-1 and 9-4. In the first game, Raúl Rivera struck out six batters over six innings and allowed just one run for section leader Aguas Buenas (5-1). In the nightcap, Abdiel Marcano led the offense with two hits and three RBIs, while Raúlier Ríos pitched two and one-third scoreless innings in relief.

In the South Section, the Bucaneros swept the Illescanos of Coamo by scores of 5-2 and 6-1, solidifying their lead with a 5-1 record. In the first game, Martín González earned the win in relief after pitching five innings, while Francisco del Valle hit a home run. In the second game, Yadiel Rolón pitched five scoreless innings to pick up the win in relief.

In the North Section, the Caciques swept the Maceteros of Vega Alta, 7-1 and 2-1. In the first game, Dereck Rodríguez pitched six scoreless innings and struck out five, while Abner Rodríguez drove in three runs for Orocovis. In the nightcap, José Figueroa pitched four scoreless innings to lead the Caciques.

Meanwhile, the Atléticos and the defending champion Guapos of Dorado split their North Section doubleheader. Barranquitas won the first game 4-1, backed by six innings of work from Joel Huertas. Luis Fernando Colón starred offensively, driving in all four of the Atléticos’ runs. Dorado responded in the second game with a 3-2 victory. Eddy Reynoso pitched three scoreless innings in relief to earn the win, and Joniel Cuadrado went three innings to record the save.

In the East Section, the Halcones and the Jueyeros of Maunabo split their doubleheader. Gurabo took the first game 6-3, while Maunabo bounced back in the second with a 2-1 win in eight innings on a walk-off single by Aldemar Burgos

A pair of doubleheaders, between Guayanilla and Villalba, and between Río Grande and Yabucoa, were suspended due to rain.
