Week nine of action in the Women’s Superior Volleyball League (LVSF) opened with the Santurce Crabbers’ seventeenth consecutive victory, as they remained undefeated by defeating the Ponce Leonas at the Salvador Dijols court.

The set scores in Santurce’s win were 25–19, 25–15, and 25–15.

With the victory, the Crabbers collected the three available points, continuing as the undisputed leaders of the tournament with a 17–0 record and 48 accumulated points.

Santurce’s offense was led by Helena Grozer and Tamara Otene, who scored 12 and 10 points, respectively.

Santurce dominated Ponce 32–24 in attacks and 16–6 in blocks, while both teams recorded four service aces. The Leonas held the edge in defense (47–46), passes (34–18), and assists (16–10).

For the Ponce Leonas, who failed to earn any points and now hold a 6–11 record with 19 points in fifth place, American player Jordan Wilson led the offense with 10 points.

Action in this ninth week continued last night with the Valencianas de Juncos visiting the Carmen Z. Figueroa court, home of the Pinkin of Corozal.
