Defending champ Dorado to open COLICEBA season against Orocovis

The Amateur Baseball League Confederation (COLICEBA) will open its 2026 season this Friday with a game between the Caciques of Orocovis and the defending champions, the Guapos of Dorado, at 8 p.m. at Tomás Palmares Stadium in Dorado.
The starting pitchers for the matchup will be Héctor Quiñones for Orocovis and Andrés Santiago for Dorado. Santiago was named Most Valuable Player of the 2025 Final Series, in which the Guapos won their first championship.
Prior to the game, COLICEBA will dedicate the season to former national pitcher Jesús Feliciano, who will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
Feliciano was a member of the Puerto Rico National Team and served as the flag bearer for the island delegation at the 1988 Seoul Olympics. Additionally, he is the only left-handed pitcher with more than 100 victories in the Double-A Superior Baseball League.
Admission to the opening game will be $5.
The schedule continues on Saturday with six doubleheaders starting at 6 p.m. Vega Alta will visit Barranquitas, Ceiba will play in Maunabo, Aibonito will face Cidra, Aguas Buenas will visit Comerío, Arroyo will play in Guayanilla and Coamo will play in Villalba.
On Sunday, Orocovis will return to Dorado to again face the Guapos, while Gurabo will visit Río Grande. Both games will begin at 2 p.m.
