Flight cancellations due to winter storm in US impact 1,843 passengers

Aerostar Puerto Rico reported on Monday that multiple flights to and from Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport had been canceled due to weather conditions associated with a winter storm in the United States.
According to the irregular operations report released by the airport operator, an estimated total of 1,843 passengers were affected by canceled arriving flights from various airports in the mainland United States, all attributed to weather conditions.
Regarding departures, Aerostar indicated that flights to several destinations in the United States were canceled, impacting an estimated 1,515 passengers on Monday.
The report reflects cancellations from airlines such as JetBlue, American, United, Delta, Southwest, Spirit, and Frontier, with routes to and from cities such as New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Miami, Orlando, Dallas, Chicago, and Newark.
All cancellations reported in the document were attributed to adverse weather conditions in the United States, according to the official airport report.
Aerostar reiterated that passengers should check the status of their flights directly with their airlines before going to the airport, due to the possibility of further schedule changes.
