The Bravas of Cidra, Grises of Humacao, Caribeñas of Salinas, Leonas of Ponce and Valencianas of Juncos all notched victories on Sunday in the Women’s Premier Softball League.

The Grises pulled off the biggest surprise of the day by splitting a doubleheader with the two-time defending champion Bravas.

After falling 5-1 in the first game, Humacao bounced back emphatically to win the second game 9-1.

In the opener, Odhi Vázquez pitched all six innings to earn the win for the Bravas, allowing just two hits and one unearned run while striking out five batters.

Arianays García led the Cidra offense, going 2-for-3 with a run scored, two RBIs and a triple.

However, the Grises put on an explosive offensive display in the second game. Mileishka Soto led the Humacao attack, going 2-for-2 with two runs scored, two RBIs, a double and a triple. Génesis Miranda also drove in two runs and hit a triple to support the win.
