Infant dies after being found inside a vehicle in Trujillo Alto

A 10-month-old infant died Monday afternoon after being found by his father inside a vehicle in the Villas de Trujillo Alto neighborhood, police reported.

According to the preliminary report, Samuel Sánchez Colón, the child’s father, found the baby inside the car at around 5 p.m., where he had allegedly been since 2:30.

The child was transported in a private vehicle to the CDT NeoMed Center in Trujillo Alto, where the on-duty doctor certified his death at 6:16 p.m., authorities said.

Agents from the Homicide Division of the Criminal Investigation Unit (CIC) of Carolina, along with the on-duty prosecutor, took charge of the investigation to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
