Isabela and Carolina secure spots in BSNF playoffs

The Pollitas of Isabela and the Gigantes of Carolina secured their respective places in the Women’s National Superior Basketball (BSNF) playoffs on Monday night.
The Pollitas defeated the Ganaderas of Hatillo 66-54 at José “Buga” Abreu Coliseum in Isabela.
Anisha George led the Pollitas with 15 points and 13 rebounds. Lasha Petree added 15 points, and Quionche Carter had 14.
Mckenzie Forbes scored 19 points and Okako Adika scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for Hatillo.
Isabela currently sits in third place with a 9-5 record, while the Ganaderas remain in sixth place at 6-7.
At Roger Mendoza Coliseum in Caguas, Aisha Sheppard led the way with 26 points to secure the runner-up Gigantes’ place in the postseason with a 73-72 victory over the Criollas of Caguas.
Charity Harris and Kiara Leslie each added 12 points for Carolina.
Asia Taylor led the Criollas with 23 points, Kai James added 11 points with 10 rebounds, and Amanda Paschal had 10 points.
Carolina is currently 9-7 in fifth place. The Criollas, meanwhile, have a 5-9 record in the eighth and final playoff spot.
