VOCESPR, together with the Department of Health and other organizations, will host the Back to School 100×35 event this Saturday, featuring simultaneous vaccination at Plaza Las Américas and over 100 pharmacies across the island for teenagers and college students.

“Back to School Tour 100×35 is a national effort that reflects our commitment to ensuring our students begin the school year protected,” said Rodríguez Capó, founder of VOCESPR, in a written statement.

Starting at 9:00 a.m. in Plaza Las Américas, the event will offer free medical guidance, vaccinations, and issuance of PVAC-3 certificates. Cristina Pharmacy will vaccinate individuals with Vital health plan starting at age 19, and those with private insurance starting at age 11, according to their coverage.

In addition, pharmacies such as Caridad, Aliadas, Walgreens, and Walmart will join the effort. Available vaccines will include those required for returning to school, such as HPV, meningococcal, and recommended boosters.

Dr. Mariely Agosto, president of the Puerto Rican Society of Pediatrics, emphasized that the event will help guide families so their children are immunized before the school year begins, thereby protecting the entire school community.
