Moca is a win away from the BSNF finals

The Explosivas of Moca defeated the Pollitas of Isabela 72-58 on Tuesday night to move within a game of reaching the Women’s National Superior Basketball League (BSNF by its initials in Spanish) finals.
The Explosivas can secure their spot in the finals today by winning the fourth game of the series, which will be held at José “Buga” Abreu Coliseum in Isabela, starting at 8 p.m. Moca is leading the best-of-five semifinal series 2-1. If the Pollitas manage to extend the series, a fifth and decisive game will be held on Saturday, again in Moca, at 8 p.m.
In Tuesday’s Game 3 held at Dr. Juan A. Sánchez Acevedo Coliseum in Moca, Hillary Martínez led the Explosivas’ offense with 24 points, followed by Ashley Torres with 15 points and Samantha Fuehring, who contributed 13 points and 10 rebounds.
For Isabela, Quionche Carter stood out with a double-double of 22 points and 14 rebounds, while Yillian Alicea added 13 points.
The Explosivas set the tone early, with a three-pointer by Fuehring and a drive by Torres for a quick 5-0 run. Moca extended its lead in the second quarter, reaching a 26-point advantage (40-14) with 4:43 remaining before halftime. The first half ended 46-26 in favor of the home team.
Each of the first three games of the series have been won by the home teams.
