NBA Basketball School Puerto Rico will host its 2026 summer camps at the Colegio Universitario de San Juan, featuring four themed weeks for youths ages 7 to 16.

“We want to create a unique experience where young people can develop their skills, compete, learn, and experience basketball held to international standards right here in Puerto Rico,” said Rafael Carrero, lead sponsor and organizer of NBA Basketball School Puerto Rico, in a written statement.

The camps will kick off with NBA Fundamentals Week, running from June 22 to 26. Combine Week will take place from July 6 to 10, while All-Star Week is scheduled for July 20 to 24. NBA Elite Week ft. Lorena Infantes will be held from Aug. 3 to 7.

Lorena Infantes Núñez, the NBA’s head of basketball operations for Latin America, will lead Elite Week. She brings eight years of experience within the organization, including five years as a coach at the NBA Academy Latin America and a stint as an assistant coach with the San Antonio Spurs during the NBA Summer League.

Participating coaches include Garry Joe Burgos, Ángel López Panelli, and Paky Laracuente.

Sessions for participants aged 7 to 11 will run from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Youths aged 12 to 16 will have sessions from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Participants are not required to register for every week. Spots are limited; registration and cost information is available at www.nbabasketballschoolpr.com.

glad to see they're including kids as young as 7. That's usually the age when a lot of players start really getting interested in the game. -geometry arrow
