The Puerto Rico Police reported Tuesday that they were investigating a drowning incident reported Tuesday afternoon at Bravo Boston Beach in Vieques.


According to authorities, a call to the 911 Emergency System alerted them to the situation, and officers assigned to the Vieques District responded to the scene.


Police stated that upon arrival, the person had already been pulled from the water and was receiving medical attention from paramedics, who later confirmed the absence of vital signs.


It was reported that the victim had not yet been identified and that agents from the Homicide Division of the Criminal Investigations Corps (CIC) in the Fajardo area, along with the prosecutor on duty, had taken over the investigation.
